Madrescenza

Madrescenza is a research and training platform, dedicated to the deepening of contemporary languages through the organization of meetings, conference seminars, workshops and publications. An experience of knowledge that allows to deepen and elaborate the relationship between art, thought and everyday life.

Madrescenza, a research and training platform developed by the Fondazione Donnaregina per le arti contemporanee starting in 2013, is divided over time into a program of activities aimed at deepening the themes and research of the contemporary. Within the Madrescenza project, the Foundation promotes, in particular, the series of Madrescenza Seasonal School seminars, organized in collaboration with national and international institutions, universities, research centers, academies and music conservatories, with the aim of investigating the relationship between contemporary art and other forms of knowledge. The project foresees that groups of students analyze, together with international artists invited as visiting professors, topics of absolute scientific relevance in the contemporary cultural debate, deepening their formation and offering their own reflections to the genesis of the art of tomorrow, in a framework of inter-institutional and multi-disciplinary comparison, which favors the consolidation of an integrated research system.
