During the summer 2020, the Fondazione Donnaregina per le arti contemporanee presents a special project by graphic designer Armando Milani that reflects on environmental and social transformations through an exhibition of ecological posters in Piazza Madre and in the urban space.

Milani works between Milan and New York and defines his professional role as an action of ‘codifying reality’ on the basis of shared values. According to Milani, ‘Every project is specific and unique, but also ambiguous, mysterious and fluid, in order to arouse curiosity and invite an interpretation that stimulates the emotions and memory’.

Political commitment and poetics in communicating ecological and social issues will also be the focus of a workshop of Milani’s design. Children and young people are involved in the creation of posters inspired by Milani’s work, an opportunity to introduce younger audiences to graphic languages and to raise awareness of ecological themes.
