The first retrospective dedicated to the Neapolitan director Mario Martone, on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of his artistic career.

Friday, June 1st, from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm, the Madre museum will inaugurate the exhibition 1977 2018. Mario Martone Museo Madre, the first retrospective dedicated to the Neapolitan film director, curated by Gianluca Riccio. A celebration of the fortieth anniversary of an artistic journey articulated between performative actions, cinema, theater and opera.

The show will present a film-flow, produced by the Donnaregina Foundation for contemporary arts and which will become part of the permanent collection of the museum, based on the study of materials stored in the Mario Martone Archive and realized in collaboration with PAV, Rome and with the support of the Campania Foundation of the Festival-Napoli Teatro Festival Italia.
