Vicenzo Trione is professor of Art and the New Media and Contemporary Art History at IULM University in Milan, where he is also Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Tourism and Markets, and Coordinator of the Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design and the Performing Arts, and the Master’s degree in Art, Heritage and Markets. He is a regular contributor to the Corriere della Sera and has his own art column in “Io Donna”, the magazine supplement included with the Saturday edition of the newspaper. He was Commissioner for the 14th Quadriennial in Rome (2003) and General Director of “Valencia 09-Confines. Passajes de las artes contemporaneas”. He has curated exhibitions in museums both in Italy and abroad (including “El siglo de Giorgio de Chirico” at the IVAM in Valencia in 2007, “Salvador Dalí” and “Alberto Savinio” both at Palazzo Reale in Milan in 2011, and “Post-classici” at the Roman Forum and at the Palatino in Rome in 2013). He has published essays on periods and figures of the avant-garde and monographic texts on some of the most important figures in twentieth-century culture (Apollinaire, Soffici, de Chirico).
