Talk with Eric Wesley

Gli anni. Capitolo 2

Following the inauguration of the second chapter of the exhibition series Gli anni, museo Madre opens the public program parallel to the exhibition with an event dedicated to artist Eric Wesley in the Library spaces.

Originally from Los Angeles, Eric Wesley has been linked to the city of Naples for twenty years, a period marked by a solid and lasting dialogue with the Galleria Fonti and numerous collaborations with the Fondazione Morra Greco. On the occasion of Gli anni, the work Knight, commissioned from the artist by the Foundation in 2013 and originally conceived as a site-specific intervention in the spaces of Palazzo Caracciolo di Avellino, will be reinstalled.

The artist’s research spans across various media, such as painting, sculpture, and installation, elaborating on the dynamics that characterize contemporary society, with a specific interest in the relationship between artist and the art system, between the work and the viewer.

The artist will be in conversation with Gigiotto Del Vecchio, and the meeting will be chaired by Giulia Pollicita.

The event will be held in English and Italian.
