Kazuko Miyamoto

The Kazuko Miyamoto catalogue, curated by Luca Cerizza, Zasha Colah and Eva Fabbris, is the most comprehensive monograph published to date of the Japanese artist. From her early post-minimalist phase to her rediscovery of natural materials and craft practices, from her interest in performance also in public contexts to the revival of traditional Japanese stylistic features in her later years, the volume investigates the eclectic and free nature of Miyamoto’s work and life and her relationship with the New York scene from the late 1960s to the present. The volume accompanies two monographic exhibitions at Museo Madre in Naples (2023) and Belvedere 21 in Vienna (2024), curated by Eva Fabbris, and contributes to the rediscovery and study of a unique voice in the contemporary art scene.
