Following the great success of the exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, the Madre Museum will host a broad-ranging retrospective dedicated to the work of the German artist Georg Baselitz, as of 17th of May 2008.
More than 10 years after the last exhibition in Italy, the Madre will present a complete and in-depth overview of the work of Baselitz through about 120 works, including paintings, drawings and sculptures dating from his earliest works in the 1960s to the present day.

The exhibition, curated by Norman Rosenthal, one of the greatest scholars of the artist, offers a unique opportunity to observe, study and analyse Baselitz’s oeuvre over a period of five decades.
